GreenLand's Nickel and Dimed Challenge story.

Hello everyone, I thought I would start a story here at Is and have just stared a family based on the challenge Here.

I'm terrible at following rules so that should be a challenge in itself
(In fact I think I have already broken one)
I am not J.k rowling so this will be more pic based than amazing writing skills or even ok writing skills.
Anyway with out further ado lets meet the family.

The Gally's


Here is the house I built for them:





This is a 4X4 lot as par and I had 500 left after furnishing it.

Let the story begin.

Hi everyone, my name is Rebecca and I am the mother of two beautiful girls - Ruby and Roo. We are the R family! We have been down on our luck since my husband Ralph died in a freak lightening accident at the start of this year. This hit me and the girls badly so we have moved to the bustling city of Belladonna Cove to get away from it all.
I have been a Stay at home house wife for the last 8 years and don't have any skills or qualifications so I don't know how I am going to support us all, but I'm gonna give it my best shot!
Here is a famil photo of us all:

Ruby my oldest is quite camera shy as you can see but shes a smart little one, she wants to go to university and become a Ecological Guru in the Natural Scientist Career. I have no idea how I am going to afford it so she is gonna have to work hard and get some scolarships!
To start off our first day I decided to teach Roo to talk and Ruby started on her painting skill.

I cannot wait until Roo is potty trained!

Thankfully today Roo did learn to talk, now the next step is to get her to stop talking!

(Authors aside: As you can see form this pic I am having a slight problem in game with words, it caused some problems in the story I sent Ruby to have a bath 3 times when it turned out she had bad social, luckily I think I know which each one is now)
We all went to bed for the night, it has been a productive day - Roo learned to talk, Ruby now has 3 creativity points and I got a Job in the slacker career, sadly it means starting at 4 in the morning!
However Roo decided that wasn't early enough for any of us and woke us all up at 2am!

So I got her a bottle and Ruby had a bath to relax so she could go back to sleep.

It's day two in our new household and I got up and made us breakfast before rushing to work when the nanny turned up:

It's Rubys first day of school, I wish I could be there to see her off:

Roo likes the new Nanny at least and her toy:

After work and school I made some sandwiches and looked after Roo:

Then looked after myself while Ruby did her homework:

My second day at work went brilliantly! I even got a promotion!

Ruby wants to go on holiday at some point so this money will come in useful!
Due to the hard day at work I went to bed early while Ruby stayed up and looked after Roo, she even started teaching her a nursery rhyme!

First off thank you so much for starting a story here Cassy, I'm looking forward to following the Gally's story.

I love the names you have chosen by the way Especially little Roo's.

Great furnishing of their abode by the way some stuff really looks old and worn.
Proberbly a wize idea to grow things as well saves on the food bill.

I like your writing style hun and the fact you went into Rubys character and background.
Adds a nice depth to the story line.

However Roo decided that wasn't early enough for any of us and woke us all up at 2am!

You started off great with a promotion already, I hope the good luck keeps up.

Fantastic start Cassy, your sims are fantastic considering I see no cc there?
I like the way you decorated there house, small but perfectly formed.
Roo is adorable as is Ruby with her little platts.

Great start Cassy, I'm not good at following challenges as I always ignor half the rules
However I like reading them and I look forward to yours, your off to a great start.
